Producer Matt

Back in 2001, my trouble-making friends and I saw a flyer for the school radio station at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School.  We thought, “How funny would it be if we started a radio show about skateboarding?”  Fast forward to today and this is what I do for a living.  It rules.

Obviously, a lot happened in-between… I became the manager of that station, which lead to an internship at an alt-rock station my senior year. From there, I went to Emerson College, where I did college radio in the morning, took classes during the day, then stayed up for the overnight shift at a local rock station.  After graduating, I spent a few years producing the morning show on a talk radio station before I got the call from TJ to become his producer here at Amp Radio, and I couldn’t be happier.  Best part: I’ve never had to leave the Boston area.

This is really the perfect job for me, because I get paid to do what I’ve always done best:  Messing with people.  When I’m not doing that, I’m reviewing chocolate chip cookies (www.instagram.com/chocolatechipboston), playing music, playing video games, kayaking, biking, stalking Tom Brady, ghost hunting, and wishing I was still good at skateboarding.  My wife is a high school English teacher, and we live in Lower Allston.
