Our thoughts, prayers and positive vibes are being sent to everyone affected by the Merrimack Valley Fires in Lawrence, Andover and North Andover. We are hoping for the recovery of all two-dozen-plus people affected, and we send our condolences to the family of Leonel Rondon who lost his life. We also thank our first responders for their selflessness. If you're wondering how to help, like we all are, we've compiled a list of information here for you.

Charlie Baker declared a state of emergency for these areas. As of Sunday 9/16, residents in these towns were able to return to their homes.

If you dial 211, they'll connect you with various resources and ways for you to help and volunteer locally.

Also, we understand that monetary donations may be difficult, or perhaps you wish you could give more and aren't sure if even $5 will help. This is a great article about how monetary donations, no matter how large or small, truly do make a difference and are actually the best way to help those in need. That being said, we're working on getting more volunteer information as the day goes on because we understand it can be hard to spare the cash. Stay with us.
