Loren's Badass Chick

Xtend Barre Burlington

All month long we'll be celebrating Breast Cancer Badass Chicks by higlighting women in our community who are helping fight the battle!

This week's Breast Cancer Badass Chick is Denise Eyes, owner of XTend Barre Burlington

Denise's story is pretty awesome. She got her first job at the age of 16 working at McDonald's. She worked there throughout high school, studied marketing in college, and got a job in McDonald's corporate management office upon graduation. She eventually moved over to another insanely huge brand, Coca-Cola, where she stayed for sixteen years. Denise later retired, fell in love with a man from New Hampshire and moved her entire life from Texas to New England to be with him.

Once in New England, she decided to become an owner of XTend Barre in Burlington and is focusing on giving back to her local community, because philanthropy was always such a huge part of the corporate culture she came from. To honor Breast Cancer Awareness month, Denise is hosting a ton of classes where proceeds will benefit the Miss Pink Organization, which helps local women and families battling the disease. Denise's "XTend and Defend" fundraising program won't just end there, though: she plans to find a new organization every few months that will benefit from her philanthropic efforts.
