BIG shout out to these Badass Chicks who are going above & beyond to help our communities despite what we're facing with the Coronavirus! I hope you take a minute to send them some love, and I implore you to be a good human and PLEASE practice social distancing. Act as if you're infected; keep everyone else safe! Be well, wash your damn hands, and check out these amazing Badass Chicks: 

 

Courtney Doyle 

Owner of Clandestine Kitchen on the South Shore, which is a meal delivery service that had to close its doors for now. But Courtney donated all of her food supply to the Hingham Food Pantry, bought 40 gallons of milk to donate along with it, and is about to launch a subscription service where 20% of the proceeds will benefit local food pantries.  

 

Katie Ring

Food photographer offering her services to restaurants, completely free of charge, to help them drum up business while they're only able to offer takeout and delivery. Check her out: www.eat.photos 

 

Kris Pavao & Kathleen Brown  

Hair stylists offering free cuts to first responders as a way to thank them. They'll provide services once we all get the clearance to be in close contact again. (Reach out to them at the Facebook link listed above)

 

Christine Platt 

Children's author focusing on inclusion and empowerment, offering online read-alongs of her amazing books. Instagram: @afrominimalist 

 

Stephanie Keohan & Cindy Solomon 

Owners of A Mom's Village, offering free music classes each morning online, and also converted their Little Free Library to a Little Free Supplies exchange where people who have extra items like toilet paper, canned goods and hand sanitizer can leave them for people who need to take them. The creator of Booty by Brabants is not only giving away free online workout classes, but sending her infamous leggings to local nurses to thank them for their dedication. Instagram: @bootybybrabants

They created a before-school physical activity program called BOKS, which is offering free at-home physical activity resources for families, and also online classes.
