Loren's Badass Chick: Sue Sullivan

January 31, 2020

Sue Sullivan

This week's Badass Chick is Sue Sullivan, Boch Center's Chief Strategic Officer/ArtWeek Lead Champion

ArtWeek is pretty cool. It's 10 days of hands-on, interactive and unique events that focus around arts, culture and the creative process. It takes place all across Massachusetts and you can do everything from making Dragon puppets to going on a mile hike, stopping along the way to do dance parties in between.

Inspired by Restaurant Week, ArtWeek began 7 years ago and started with just 26 events in the Boston area. Now, it's grown to over 600 events in over 130 towns and neighborhoods in Massachusetts. 70% of all activities are free, and 90% cost less than $25.

Sue has worked in tech, higher education, museums and performing arts spaces. Over the years, she found herself gravitating toward the arts and decided to champion ArtWeek's initiative. She believes everyone, regardless of age or occupation, needs creativity in their life. ArtWeek is a way to learn more about expressing your creativity in ways you never knew how.

It's taking place May 1st through the 10th this year, and if you want to apply to host an art event, or learn more about their schedule when it gets released in April, click here

Loren's Badass Chick of the Week highlights local women and girls giving back to the community, following their passion and/or breaking stereotypes. If YOU have a Badass Chick you want to see highlighted, email Loren@1033ampradio.com!
