Loren's Badass Chick

This week's Badass Chick is Hannah O'Brien. She's a kindergarten teacher at Roberts Elementary School in Medford, and she goes waaaaaay above and beyond for not only her kids, but everyone else in her life.

Hannah has provided clothing and school supplies for her kids who can't afford it. She tutors kids out of the goodness of her heart just to help them stay on track. And when she found out that her dad's best friend had ALS, she decided on a whim to become a runner, and ran the freakin' Boston Marathon in his honor. She loved the marathon so much that she's running the NYC marathon and is already signed up to run the 2019 Boston Marathon pushing a Best Buddies participant along the course. Hannah also spends her free time sharing her story at a support group for people whose family members are suffering from addiction like her brother is, and she's set a personal goal to go skydiving in each of the 50 states in 50 years.

Hannah's just one of those special people who believes that she can learn so much from kids and wants to leave the world a better place than how she found it, and I love that!
