Loren's Badass Chick

This week's Badass Chick is Detective Bernadette Sullivan. She has been a police officer for 22 years, and she's definitely one of the most unassuming badass chicks I've ever met. She's the strong, silent type with a beautiful smile, and you would never know just by looking at her that she tracks down criminals for a living. Bernadette works in the Crimes Against Children unit of Boston Police, and she works with DCF, the DA and the Children's Advocacy Center to protect children who continue to be abused and exploited year after year.

On Saturday April 7th, she'll be volunteering at the Ginormous Climb, where ordinary people put on super hero capes to climb 60 floors to the top of the John Hancock Tower, all in honor of the brave super hero kids who Bernadette works to protect every day. Last year the Ginormous Climb raised $150,000 and their goal is to do it again this year. All of the money raised goes directly to helping the children who have faced abuse and need our help the most.

Producer Matt is going to be climbing again for the third year in a row, and I will be hosting the event. We would LOVE for you to come with us and support this cause that is really close to both of our hearts.
