DJ Pauly D from the "Jersey Shore" is starring in a new MTV dating TV show, and I am one of the contestants. Yes, you read that right. I am competing for DJ Pauly D's heart on the new dating show, '"Game of Clones".

Cats out of the bag. I’m 27. Even though I was 26 when I filmed this! #mtv

I grew up watching MTV dating shows and have always considered them to be so much fun and iconic in their own right. They don't follow the rules, they take risks, and embrace the silly, and I just ADORE THEM! I mean do y'all remember "Room Raiders", "Next" , "Date My Mom" ??? And don't even get me started with "Parental Control" !! I used to lay on my couch for hours in my Abercrombie polo and jean skirt combo, and just howl at the craziness that was on TV. I used to think to myself, Are those people for real ??

We love clones this time of year, don't you @DJPaulyD? -- #GameOfClones

I'm sure a lot of you are wondering, does Julia really want to date DJ Pauly D? Doesn't she currently have a boyfriend?  Well let's dive in shall we?

In the summer of 2017, I auditioned for "The Amazing Race" and actually got SUPER far in the casting process. I did not get cast for the show, but did however recieve a phone call about three months later with a casting director saying, "Hi Julia. We are casting a fun and crazy show for MTV with one of their biggest celebrities ever. We are looking for people that look like Megan Fox, dark hair and light eyes." Fast forward a month and half of interviews, negotiations, and I was flying out to California to film one of those legendary shows I used to obsess over.

I filmed the show over a year ago before I was even JD's co-host for #TheScene, but it is just airing now! Since I filmed it so long ago, it has been amazing to catch up with the cast and crew and just reminisce on the fun week we had filming all together! Yes, all the 'clones' have a group chat - LOL.

So I like kinda did something ridiculous about a year ago, and it will finally be airing on 2/21. Stay tuned about a watch party. Even though I’m scared to watch myself. #clones #mtv #GameOfClones @djpaulyd @mtv #paulydpositivity #realitytv @gameofclonesmtv

Thursday, February 21, 2019 was the premier! Tune in next Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 9:00 PM on MTV to watch me play a part that I have dreamt of playing my whole life. I can't even begin to tell you how much I learned about TV and what an incredible networking opportunity it is.

One episode left and I made it to the top 3. One of the head producer's on the show messaged me today and said I was "legendary" so I am sweating just thinking about what I even said or did because I hardly remember. lol

Here's one of my favorite clips from last night's episode if you missed it:
