Tom Brady Humorously Digs At NFL For Helmet Rule

August 13, 2019

According to WEEI, Tom Brady has been forced to change helmets this season as the NFL eliminates specific models that haven’t passed the safety testing required by the league.

During his weekly interview with WEEI, Brady admits he doesn't love the new helmet that he has received for his 20th season with the Patriots.

“I’ve been experimenting with a couple different ones, and I don’t really love the one that I’m in, but I don’t really have much of a choice,” Brady said on Monday. “So I’m just trying to do the best I can to work with it.”

My last helmet, I wore it the last four Super Bowls, so it was a pretty great helmet for me. I hated to put it on the shelf,” said the quarterback. “It’s kind of what I’m dealing with.”

The following day, he takes to Instagram to throw a minor dig at the NFL for the rule change.

I think they just didn’t like the way the old helmet was working up in New England ----
