Loren's Badass Chick

Dr. Bethany Rice

This week's Badass Chick is Dr. Bethany Rice, Ms. Woman New Hampshire 2019.

Dr. Rice grew up performing on stage. She was a singer and a dancer as a child, and eventually became involved with pageantry as a way to fund her education. She went on to become a middle and high school teacher and is currently the Associate Director of Graduate Education at Endicott College, where she oversees five different Master's programs. Through her work, she has become passionate about literacy education for both children and adults.

Bethany decided to challenge herself by competing in pageants once again and won the title of Ms. Woman New Hampshire 2019. She loves the program because it's very well-rounded and focuses on academics, service to the community and physical fitness. Bethany is currently in Las Vegas competing for the title of National Ms. Woman United States, spreading the word about her literacy education platform called HOTT, which encourages people to set aside 20 minutes each day to educate themselves on how to achieve their goals. Best of luck to Bethany this weekend! If you want to help boost her performance, you can vote for her online here.
