The Four Almost Set
I keep telling you about this new American Idol-type show called The Four, where Diddy and DJ Khaled are going to team up with two other judges and help mentor the winner and usher them into the music business. Welp, Charlie Walk, who is the President of Republic Records and responsible for the careers of The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, etc. As for the final judge, who will be a performer, it’s reportedly going to be either Fergie, Meghan Trainor or Bebe Rexha. It’s set to air in January.
Mark Wahlberg Jokes He’d Kill Will Ferrell if Will’s Kid Dated his Daughter
Mark Wahlberg was on Live with Kelly & Ryan yesterday and said that his daughter was at one point in contact with Will Ferrel’s son… which didn’t make him too uncomfortable since he knows Will and Will’s wife really well. But Mark did joke that he’d kill Will if the kids started dating.
WCVB Anchor: Kevin Spacey Molested my Son
Former WCVB TV anchor Heather Unruh held a press conference yesterday and alleged that Kevin Spacey touched her son’s genitals after getting him drunk in Nantucket last year. Her son was 18 at the time and was able to run away when Kevin briefly left to go to the bathroom, and an onlooker came up to her son and asked if he was OK. Heather’s son handed over information to Nantucket police and the incident took place last year and a criminal investigation is underway.
Taylor Swift Wins CMA Award
Despite having moved over to the “pop” world, Taylor Swift won Song of the Year last night at the CMA Awards for writing Little Big Town’s song “Better Man.” were last night. Co-host for the evening Carrie Underwood sang a tribute song to those lost during the year, which included victims of the Las Vegas shooting since it was a country festival. She held back tears while singing the song “Softly and Tenderly.”
Drake Wants to Act, is Saving Birkin Bags for Future Wife
Pretty interesting. Drake chatted with the Hollywood Reporter and revealed that he actually receives a script a week from people hoping he will start acting again, but he’s turned it all down. He’s not against it though — Drake says he plans on taking half a year or a year off from music to do some great movies. Oh, he also revealed that he has been collecting Birkin Bags for quite some time now… not for himself, but for his future wife. He wants to give her the collection. SWOON.
Bob Saget Engaged
Bob Saget has announced his engagement to his girlfriend Kelly Rizzo. Bob is 61 and she is 38. Bob was previously married for 15 years but has been divorced since 1997.
Chance the Rapper Speaks Up at City Council
Chance the Rapper continues to make you wish he was from your home town… he showed up yesterday to his home town of Chicago’s city council meeting to combat their proposed budget. He’s a large advocate of the public school system and suggested that the $95M proposed budget for a police and fire training campus could be used more wisely.
Oprah Dishes on Keeping Good Company
Pretty awesome: Oprah revealed that she was able to surround herself with good people on her projects thanks to what she calls a Gut Check: she would sit with every new hire and see if they have internal goodness. As her team got larger she couldn’t sit with every person, but every hiring manager knew the gut check principle. She said “surrounding yourself with people who are good people is what matters most. Because you can teach a lot of things but you cannot teach goodness.” Sounds like our team.
President Obama Reports Jury Duty
President Obama returned to Chicago to report for jury duty… secret service of course in tow. He was very cool with everyone and posed for pictures, shook hands and chatted with fellow citizens. He was dismissed from jury duty… what a shock.
