If you have an iPhone you know exactly what this is.

For some reason, iPhones have recently been autocorrecting the letter “I” to some random symbol “A ?” with the question mark being in a box. It’s SO annoying, so if you want to fix it here’s how to do it.

First, go to SETTINGS. Then, go to GENERAL. In that menu, click KEYBOARD. In there you’ll see TEXT REPLACEMENT. Click the plus sign in the upper right.

All you have to do is type in a lower-case “i” in phrase with an upper-case “I” as the shortcut. If this doesn’t work, just swap the order with the upper-case “I” as the phrase and lower-case “i” as the shortcut.

People have reported having to do it twice before it finally kicked in, but once it does you should be all set!
