“I think when grandmothers know who you are, you’ve made it,” Bebe opined. “My grandma knows who Lady Gaga is, you know what I mean?”

Rexha, who famously got her start with songwriting credits for the likes of Rihanna, Eminem, David Guetta, and Nicki Minaj, opened up about teaching herself to record and honing her sound.

“I went to go sell perfumes, and I saved up all my money selling perfumes,” she reveals. “Bought myself a ProTools system, bought a mic, bought speakers. Learned how to cut my own vocals, learned how to produce songs. And then I went in and instead of having someone develop a sound for me, I developed my own self.”
