According to Billboard, Drake will be among a handful of prominent artists not present at the 2017 GRAMMY Awards.

The 30 year old star is currently embarking on an ambitious 26 date international tour. Instead of attending Music’s Biggest Night, Drake will take The Boy Meets World tour to Manchester, England on February 12th.

While Drake’s absence is not a statement about the music industry, other musicians have not been so reserved. Rumors swirl that Justin Bieber and Kanye West will skip out on the 59th annual awards show because it does not represent the best of young artists.

Frank Ocean, whose breakout album Blonde was not nominated for any awards, will also be missing. Ocean chose to protest The Recording Academy by not submitting his album for consideration. When asked why he told the New York Times, “that institution certainly has nostalgic importance.. It just doesn’t seem to be representing very well for people who come from where I come from, and hold down what I hold down.
