"No one can ask me or try to tell me what to Instagram," West wrote. "It's my art."

Back in March, Kanye West tweeted that he was considering joining the Instagram army. “I was thinking about getting an Instagram but only on one condition……,” he wrote. “No one can ask me or try to tell me what to Instagram… It’s my art… ” Now, West has made followed through on his threat and made his first post.

West’s debut into the murky waters of Instagram comes not with family photos or controversial commentary, but with an artistic shot of a car driving by a row of angular buildings at dusk. It kinda looks like something out of Blade Runner or some other dystopian future film.

Last Wednesday West tweeted, “I got red of my phone so I can have air to create,” so it’s a little unclear how he posted the Instagram pic. Maybe he reconsidered and got a new phone.

West’s Saint Pablo tour continues Tuesday (Sept. 29) with a stop in Houston, Texas.
