Andrew Celani -- 103.3 AMP Radio

Sports radio legend Jim Rome joined George Wrighster and Brett Winterble from The Drive on Thursday, in front of Staples Center before the Clippers’ season-opening win over the Thunder. The guys got Jim to talk about his love of horse racing before he previewed this weekend’s Breeder’s Cup, which includes his own horse, Shared Belief.

Ah, New Year’s resolutions. They’re something that the majority of people make but the vast majority never follow through on. It’s a commitment that people make for self-betterment, normally having to do with losing weight, eating healthy, saving money for the future, etc.

We here at AMP thought it’d be funny to come up with a list New Year’s resolutions that certain celebrities should make. Note: This list is in no way factual and is meant purely for entertainment purposes only. Enjoy!

Resolution: We know growing up ain’t easy, especially when you also have a kid. To the Teen Moms out there, make 2013 the year you finally become a good parent. Kids don’t ask to be born, so please, no more heroin, attention-grabbing headlines or getting thrown in prison.

Resolution: This is a guy who has made a living on being mean to people, but in 2013 Simon Cowell has made a resolution to be more kind on television (highly doubt it, but fun to think about!).

Ellie Goulding

Resolution: It’s simple: Overcome your fears. For Ellie, her biggest fear sparked the wildly popular, easily remixed hit “Lights,” but also revealed to the world her phobia of the dark. In 2013, Ellie Goulding should focus on conquering her silly terror.

Resolution: According to this list of the 40 Most Popular New Year’s Resolutions For 2013 #31 is, “Cut someone out of my life who isn’t good for me.” As far as Rihanna goes, we can all figure out who that is…

Justin Bieber

Resolution: It’s exhausting just looking at the Biebs’ touring schedule, so it’ll be interesting to see how this affects Justin Bieber’s relationships, both with girlfriend Selena Gomez and family members. Focus more on friends and family should be Bieber’s goal for 2013, but it might have to wait until 2014 honestly.

Resolution: A lot of people’s New Year’s resolution is to watch less reality television. For Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, help them reach this goal by staying off reality television. We know you both can’t resist being out of the spotlight, but not everything you do has to be documented for a reality TV show.

Jessica Simpson

Resolution: Another popular resolution for 2013 is to spend less time on social media sites. No more oversharing! Now, the growing female form is nothing to be ashamed of, but we don’t need any duckface bikini bump pictures…ahem Jessica Simpson!
